About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant at Gulf Medical & Wellness Centre, you will work closely alongside registered nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals to deliver safe, dignified, and compassionate care to patients across inpatient and outpatient departments. Your responsibilities will span personal care, vital signs monitoring, patient mobility support, and clinical area preparation. You will serve as a key link between the clinical team and patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout their care journey. Your Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with daily patient care activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and oxygen saturation at scheduled intervals.
- Support patient mobility by safely repositioning bed-bound patients, assisting with transfers, and helping with ambulation exercises.
- Prepare clinical examination rooms, procedure areas, and patient wards before and after consultations and minor procedures.
- Collect and process patient specimens including urine, stool, and swab samples and deliver to the laboratory within protocol timelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care notes in the hospital’s electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Respond promptly to patient call bells and bedside requests, escalating clinical concerns to the nursing team immediately.
- Maintain high standards of infection control including hand hygiene, PPE use, and proper waste disposal in all clinical areas.
- Assist with the restocking and organization of clinical supplies, medications, and consumables on the ward.
What You Bring
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Assistance, or a related clinical field.
- Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licence or eligibility to obtain one; full application support provided by employer.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, manual handling techniques, and patient safety standards.
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; training will be provided for candidates not currently certified.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage but not a requirement for this position.
