As a Server/Waiter, you will be the face of our guest experience — greeting diners, presenting our menu with confidence and enthusiasm, taking accurate orders, and ensuring every table receives attentive and personalized service from arrival to departure. Our servers are our highest earners; top performers regularly take home CAD 200–350 per shift including tips. We offer thorough training, a tight-knit team culture, and real opportunities for advancement into senior server, shift lead, and management roles.
Your Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests warmly, present menus, and offer personalized recommendations based on dietary preferences and occasions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our point-of-sale (POS) system and communicate special requests to kitchen staff clearly.
- Serve food and drinks in the correct order and at the appropriate temperature, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Monitor tables attentively throughout the meal, refilling beverages, clearing finished courses, and anticipating guest needs proactively.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate unresolved issues to the manager with discretion and urgency.
- Process payments accurately via cash, debit, and credit card terminals and reconcile your float at the end of each shift.
- Upsell appetizers, premium beverages, desserts, and daily specials to enhance the guest experience and increase per-table revenue.
- Maintain a clean and fully stocked service station including napkins, condiments, cutlery, and glassware throughout the shift.
- Follow all BC Liquor Control and Licensing Branch (LCLB) regulations regarding responsible alcohol service.
What You Bring
- Valid Serving It Right (SIR) certification is mandatory under BC liquor licensing laws; cost is reimbursed after 30 days.
- Minimum 6 months of food service or hospitality experience preferred; enthusiastic freshers will be considered for morning shifts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a naturally warm and professional demeanor.
- Ability to memorize daily specials, ingredient lists for allergen queries, and menu details across multiple course categories.
- Strong multitasking ability with the capacity to handle 5–8 tables simultaneously during busy dinner service.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift and carry multiple plates simultaneously.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays is essential for this hospitality role.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset (training can be arranged by the employer).

- Free shift meal from our full kitchen menu before or after every shift worked.
- Extended health and dental benefits for full-time employees after completing 90-day probationary period.
- Flexible scheduling that accommodates student timetables, second jobs, or family commitments.
- Staff discount of 30% on all food and beverages for personal dining at the restaurant.
- Paid Serving It Right and Food Safe training fully reimbursed after first 30 days of employment.
- Clear promotion pathway from Server to Senior Server, Floor Supervisor, and Assistant Manager.
- Inclusive, diverse, and supportive team culture with monthly staff appreciation events and seasonal bonuses.
