About the Role

Senior and technical petroleum roles in Qatar involve overseeing extraction operations, managing refinery processes, conducting reservoir analysis, optimizing production output, and ensuring all operations comply with international environmental and safety standards. Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage petroleum operations at assigned upstream or downstream facilities.
  • Conduct reservoir studies, well logging, and production performance analysis.
  • Oversee drilling programs, completion activities, and well interventions.
  • Optimize oil and gas production while maintaining system integrity.
  • Ensure all operations comply with HSE, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with international engineering consultants and joint venture partners.
  • Prepare technical feasibility studies, project plans, and CAPEX proposals.
  • Analyze production data and implement solutions to maximize efficiency.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff on site and in the office.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and crisis management drills.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–10 years of industry experience in oil and gas operations.
  • Solid knowledge of reservoir simulation, drilling engineering, or refinery processes.
  • Proven track record in a production, operations, or engineering management role.
  • Strong HSE competency and adherence to international safety standards.
  • Proficiency in industry software such as Eclipse, PIPESIM, or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
  • International professional certifications (SPE, IPE, NEBOSH) preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication for technical reporting.
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts or be based in remote field locations.
